Following March’s theme of “Brokenness,” April at All Souls is a season of renewal as we change our focus to “Transformation.” Fresh on the heels of Heritage Sunday, we’re excited to explore what transformation means within our lives and our shared journey, and to celebrate change, growth, and new beginnings.

This month, we’re excited to offer a variety of events that embody this spirit of change, from the creativity unleased at the Spring Art Market to the profound perspectives shared on Youth Sunday. Let’s step into April with open hearts, ready to explore the transformative experiences that shape us and our community.

All Souls Spring Art Market

Each spring and fall, All Souls hosts a two-day art market featuring handmade, homemade arts and crafts from area vendors. Offerings run the gamut from artisan soaps and incense to stunning handmade jewelry, as well as yard decor, original paintings, textiles and much more.

Vendors agree to donate 10% of their proceeds to benefit the All Souls Youth department. Visit the Spring Art Market in Emerson Hall on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28. You are sure to find something you’ll want to call your own!

Reimagining Your Own Theology II – Part of Wednesday Community Connections

Most Unitarian Universalists can easily saw what they don’t believe, but how many can clearly state what they do believe? Many people who have found the UU faith have come from other faith traditions, or from none at all. In this series, we will begin an exploration of individual beliefs and the “big questions,” seeking a deepening and expanding understanding of ourselves and our world.

This is a four-session series every Wednesday in April starting April 3, and ending April 24. You can find more information on our classes here or on our calendar page.

Celebrating The Divine Feminine

Join Celeste McNeal Wood and friends, as we expand our Soulful Sister Circle into an intergenerational ceremony honoring all the stages of a woman’s life. Please feel free to bring your sisters, daughters, and granddaughters as we honor the divine feminine in each of us. We will enjoy circle time, a community art project, and potluck teatime. Come reconnect with your sisters and make new friends!

The event takes place Saturday, April 20 from 2:30-4:30pm in Emerson Hall. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a teatime (snack style) item to share.

All Souls Youth Back From Boston

A dozen All Souls Youth and four guides traveled to Boston over Spring Break in March 2024, continuing the cherished annual tradition of our Coming of Age class. This pilgrimage included visits to Arlington Street Church, Walden Pond, and Harvard Divinity School‘s UU Archives, along with other destinations Unitarians hold meaningful.

“The Boston pilgrimage is always a transformative experience, and this year was no different, said All Souls Youth Director, Corey Smith.
