National Alliance on Mental Illness
If you have a loved one with a severe mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, anxiety/panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), or Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSD), you may feel alone and don't know where to turn. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) offers education, support, and advocacy for those affected by mental illness.
The NAMI Family Support Group is for family members of mentally ill people. It is facilitated by trained individuals who have experienced caring and advocating for their mentally ill loved one. Members of the group support one another through their shared experiences.
The All Souls NAMI Family Support Group meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month.
