Wednesday Community Connections

Wednesday Community Connections is an opportunity to engage, support, and learn with each other. We start with a dinner at 5:30pm, followed by chapel at 6:30pm and classes at 7:00pm. All our classes are free for adults, open to the public, and include anything from yoga, meditation, arts and crafts, Path to Membership, and more! Depending on the class, you can attend in-person, on Zoom, or hybrid. Childcare is available from 6:15 to 8:30.

All Souls Trekkers: Cancer Advocacy and Support (online only)

Great Decisions (in person and on Zoom)

Jan. 24 – March 27 | Earl Goodman and Mack Vanderlip

Great Decisions, the Foreign Policy Association’s (FPA) renowned nationwide group discussion programon world affairs, will kick off for the 41st year with co-leaders Mack Vanderlip and Earl Goodman as moderators.  

In person Kick-Off meeting Sunday, January 21 at 2:30 in the Aaronson Auditorium in the Central Library.  Rodger Randle, Director of the OU Center for Studies in Democracy & Culture, and former Tulsa mayor will give the keynote address, NATO and the Future of the Western Alliance. 

This year’s Great Decisions program includes these critically important topics:

Healing From Religious Trauma

If you’ve ever experienced religious trauma, you’re invited to attend this special religious trauma presention with Cantiese Burell, LCSW. As our esteemed guest therapist, Cantiese will address the deeply impactful topic of religious trauma.

This session is open to all past participants of the Recovery From Religious Wounds and Healing from Fundamentalism courses, as well as anyone who has encountered religious trauma.

Whether you’re continuing your journey with us or stepping into this space for the first time, your experiences adn insights are valued here. Let’s gather to share, heal, and grow together.

Shawl Ministry with Tiffany Cross (in person)

Come learn to knit! We have yarn and needles.

The Shawl Ministry is a group of fiber artists who make a spiritual practice of creating shawls to give to people in our church community who are in need of comfort and solace. Members and friends infuse each shawl with positive intentions, prayers, hope, love, and healing. Completed shawls are blessed and sent along the way.

We also make baby hats, blankets, booties and more. Knitters, crocheters, quilters and other fiber artists of all skill levels are welcome!

Wednesday Circle (in-person and Zoom)

Members moderate this conversational ministry from a spiritual point of view, governed by a commitment to our covenant. Topics change weekly and generally follow those chosen by the Circle the Sunday preceding. All are welcome to join in person or by Zoom!

Women's Self-Defense & Empowerment (in-person only)

Noah Johnson of Aspire Fitness | 2nd and 4th Wednesdays | President’s Room

Learn self-defense using judo and jiu jitsu techniques with local trainer Noah Johnson of Aspire Fitness.

This class is for anyone who identifies as a woman, and it is open to all levels of fitness and ability.

Bring water and wear comfy clothes.

Class fees are donation-based.

Yoga for Every Body (in-person only)

Youth Jams

All Souls Youth | Weekly | Sponge Room

Plan and produce “Youth Sunday” – the best Sunday of Youth with services created and presented entirely by the Youth Department.

This year, Youth Sunday is on April 28th, 2024.

Come to the Sponge Room and get absorbed!

Wednesday Community Connections are from 5:30-8:30pm and consist of dinner, chapel, and community. Childcare is available from 6:15-8:30pm.

Join Us For Dinner

Every Wednesday, we invite you to join us for dinner at 5:30pm before classes. Donations are encouaged – $5 helps a little, $10 covers the meal, $20+ helps sustain our programs.

Volunteer at Wednesday Connections Dinner!

Shifts include 3:30pm prep, 5:30pm serve, and 6:30pm clean up. Email Paula Vella, pvella@allsoulschurch.org to volunteer.

Muay Thai

Noah Johnson & Aspire Fitness | President’s Room | 1st & 3rd Wednesdays

Muay Thai, sometimes referred to as Thai boxing, is a combat sport that uses stand-up striking, sweeps, and various clinching techniques.

This class is open to all aged high school and older.

This class is donation-based and will require some equipment. Please wear comfortable clothing!
