All Souls gifted HUGS for some 280 students at Unity Learning Academy one Thursday morning in late December, as school cafeteria tables were loaded with various colors and sizes of Hats, Underwear, Socks and Gloves.
The church’s Partners in Education (PIE) team began gathering HUGS the first of December, organized by long-time team member Kathy Horn, assisted by Kathryn Jennings, Caroline Johnson and Margo Mitchell, PIE chair.
Kathy said, “The children were so happy to be able to choose their own hats, underwear, gloves and socks! Once again our congregation stepped up to support the kids at our partner school. It was a very happy morning!”

Partners in Education (PIE) will be delivering HUGS for the Holidays at Unity School and you are invited to be a partner of our new project.
Look for the snowmen on our HUGS Christmas tree in the lobby with shopping lists for Hats, Underwear, Gloves, or Socks (HUGS). Then, take one or more snowmen shopping and return specified items to our HUGS display by December 10, 2023.
PIE will be collecting HUGS through December 10 to deliver before Christmas break at Unity, our partner school for more than 35 years!
