The theme of this year’s women’s retreat on Saturday, March 8, is Rest is Resistance, and is based on the book by Tricia Hersey, aka the Nap Bishop and founder of the Nap Ministry. It’s a manifesto rooted in the spiritual energy of Black liberation, womanism, somatics and Afrofuturism.
Our Keynote Speaker on the topic, Dene Roseburr-Olotu, she/her, is an ordained missionary whose ministry focuses on uplifting women through self-care, health awareness and mindfulness combined with spiritual traditionalism. (Dene is also a DEI professional).
Everyone who identifies as a woman is cordially invited to take a break from all the chaos to join Dene and some of your other favorite Practitioners of Inner Peace for a day of intentional restoration, reflection and renewal.
Then, everyone is invited to join us on Sunday, March 9, as the women’s retreat workshop leaders share their melodic magic with us, including certified Sonic Alchemist and Sound Healing Practitioner Tiffany Tran and Taylord Berghoff, who, "Like bone broth, simmers all day until vital gelatinous songs ooze out of her…” Tay believes in the power of community, advocacy and joy as an act of resistance!
Both services will be streamed live on Facebook, YouTube and on Zoom (links below). You can also watch via our website at allsoulschurch.org/live. If you're joining us online, be sure to engage in the chat and connect with our virtual community!
We hope you'll join us for this transformative weekend of rest, renewal, and connection. Come as you are, and leave feeling restored.
