All Souls gifted HUGS for some 280 students at Unity Learning Academy one Thursday morning in late December, as school cafeteria tables were loaded with various colors and sizes of Hats, Underwear, Socks and Gloves.
The church’s Partners in Education (PIE) team began gathering HUGS the first of December, organized by long-time team member Kathy Horn, assisted by Kathryn Jennings, Caroline Johnson and Margo Mitchell, PIE chair.
Kathy said, “The children were so happy to be able to choose their own hats, underwear, gloves and socks! Once again our congregation stepped up to support the kids at our partner school. It was a very happy morning!”

Each Legacy Tree is connected to the All Souls Memorial Garden, making it a meaningful way to stay connected to the sacred space. Update December 9, 2024:
Wow! With the support of many members, we have surpassed our goal of $17,000 that we needed to replace our old stove with a pair of new, energy efficient, electric ovens. Thanks to everyone who made this possible.
If you still want to contribute to our Giving Tuesday campaign, funds beyond what is necessary for the new ovens will be used to support needs that we've had this year to increase security and make the church more accessible to everyone.
Once again, THANK YOU!
It has baked our potatoes, warmed our bread and heated our casseroles. It's seen us through weddings and funerals, brunches and celebrations, Day Center meals and Day Alliance luncheons. Our old stove has served us well, but its time has come to an end. It is outdated, inefficient, unhealthy—and the oven is simply not working!
We need to raise $17,000 to replace our old gas stove with a new electric convection oven (the old gas burners will remain for now). When you make your gift, we'll be one step closer to a safer, healthier, more environmentally-friendly kitchen. Thank you!
Mark your calendars for All Souls’ Congregational Meeting on Sunday, December 8, 2024, immediately following our One Service for All at 10:30 am.
This annual meeting is an essential part of our church governance, where members come together to affirm our collective vision and decisions. During the meeting, members will vote on the 2025 budget and the updated bylaws (click here for a summary).
To ensure an efficient meeting, we encourage everyone to review the materials ahead of time. These include the meeting agenda, the updated bylaws (summary), and the proposed 2025 budget.
While there may be time for limited questions during the meeting, we strongly recommend reviewing the documents in advance and reaching out to church leadership if you have questions before the meeting. This helps keep the meeting focused and ensures everyone has the information they need.

If you aren't able to join us in-person, you can join us online at allsouls.me/zoom10.
We look forward to seeing you there as we come together to celebrate, decide, and prepare for the future of All Souls!
Sheila’s Circle—Empowering Guatemalan Women will hold a Holiday Handicrafts Sale before, during, and after church services on two upcoming Sundays, November 24 and December 15, 2024, in Emerson Hall.
Sheila’s Circle raises funds to help women in impoverished rural communities in Guatemala with entrepreneurial and agricultural education, mobile health clinics, and microcredit loans.
Sheila's Circle works in partnership with Friendship Bridge, a nonprofit with multiple programs supporting women in Guatemala.
This exhibition has closed.
If you're joining us this Sunday, make sure to look up!
The Prayer Flag Project was a collaborative effort, lovingly crafted by All Souls member Lynda Jacobs and 35 women who gathered to create the flags as symbols of peace, healing, and connection. Each nature-based prayer flag is eco-printed on cloth using real leaves and flowers and represents a unique blessing, reminding us of the ways we can come together.
Installed at All Souls following the election, these flags invite us to pause, reflect, and share in their message of unity. Stop by the foyer this Sunday to experience the project’s beauty and intention.
