All Souls Unitarian Church is thrilled to announce our 2024 Summer Sermon Series, “#UNFILTERED: Things You Don’t Often Hear in Church.” This engaging series will take place every Sunday from June 2 to August 11 and will delve into topics that are often overlooked, uncomfortable, or considered taboo within typical church settings.

Series Overview

At All Souls, we believe in fostering an inclusive community where open dialogue and fresh perspectives are encouraged. Our goal with this series is to deepen our moral clarity and provide spiritual support for all aspects of life, especially those areas often neglected in traditional church discussions.

Topics Covered

The “#UNFILTERED” series will explore a range of contemporary issues and ethical dilemmas. Some of these topics include, but are not limited to, the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, Sexuality, Gender Fluidity, and other contemporary issues and ethical dilemmas. All of these discussions will aim to challenge, inspire, and support our congregation in bringing their whole selves into our community.

Remembering The 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre On June 2

One June 2, we launch the #UNFILTERED series with a moving ritual to honor the anniversary of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. This is a service the worship team has been working to create. Tell your friends, you’re not going to want to miss it. This ritual will be held in both services – our 10am Unitarian Universalist service, and our 11:30am humanist hour, The Point.

Social Justice Connection Series In June

Throughout June, you can also join us every Sunday after the services in the Alliance Room for our “Social Justice Connections” series from 11am to 1pm. Each week, a speaker from one of our Social Justice Teams will facilitate a discussion related to that day’s message, highlighting their team’s work and its impact. Click here to learn more.
