Our Thanksgiving Festival is one of the most joyful and meaningful traditions at All Souls, bringing our entire community together in gratitude and celebration. Here’s what to expect:
On this special Sunday, we will have one combined service at 10:30 AM. This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together in one gathering, sharing in the spirit of unity and thankfulness. You can join us in person at 2952 S. Peoria Ave. You can also attend online via Zoom (allsouls.me/zoom10), Facebook, YouTube or our website.
The Route 66 Marathon will also take place on Sunday, November 24, impacting access to the church. Please plan your route carefully:
Avoid Riverside Drive and other roads directly along the marathon route. For detailed maps of road closures, visit the Route 66 Marathon website.
Shuttle Service: A shuttle will run from All Souls to the BOK building on Peoria (3237 S. Peoria), providing convenient transport for those parking further away.
With the Thanksgiving Festival being one service for all at 10:30AM, parking might be difficult to come by, but we’ve got you covered! Please allow extra time to park and take the shuttle to ensure a smooth arrival at the service.
You’re invited to bring a fresh fruit or vegetable to place on the chancel during the service. These offerings will be collected and donated to the Community Resource Bank (CRB) to help families in need. Your gift of fresh produce is a simple yet profound way to give back and share the abundance of the season.
Enjoy stunning performances by five of our choirs: Cherub, Children’s, Youth, Chamber, and Adult. They will fill the sanctuary with songs of joy and thanksgiving. Their music will be a highlight of this special service.
After the service, those who wish to participate are invited to a Unitarian Communion in the chapel. This intimate gathering is an opportunity to reflect and connect with the deeper meanings of the holiday season. Childcare will not be provided for the communion service. If you plan to attend, please pick up your children first and take them with you – our communion is family-friendly!
We look forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with you on Sunday, November 24, at 10:30AM. Let’s gather in gratitude, share in abundance, and celebrate this season of togetherness and giving!
