Rick Fortner

Director of Music

Rick Fortner has been Director of Music at All Souls since 1999. Prior he worked as an instructor at The University of Tulsa and Northeastern State University. He has also prepared and directed the Tulsa Oratorio Chorus and is the founding director of Council Oak Men’s Chorale.

Rick’s keyboard skills have shined as staff pianist for Tulsa Ballet and as a featured performer in the Greenwood Jazz Festival. Rick has also performed for the Tulsa Jazz Society’s Annual Keyboard Concert, Ragtime For Tulsa, and the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame Concert Series. Most recently, he was the musical director of "Sophisticated Ladies”, a review of the life and music of Duke Ellington, performed at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame.

Rick holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree in Voice and a Master of Music Degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Tulsa.
