Our Whole Lives (OWL)
Sexuality Education Course
What is it?
Our Whole Lives (OWL) is a carefully designed curriculum that offers students in middle school the opportunity to learn not only the biological aspects of reproduction, but also the implications of healthy, positive choices.
When is it?
There will be a total of 26 sessions throughout the year, held on select Sundays from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. for those middle school students who have enrolled.
There are also two overnight retreats for high school students to participate in more extensive OWL training. One will be held in the fall and one in the spring.
Who will be teaching it?
Fully trained and vetted adult church members who volunteer their time and energy to guide our youth through this important material.
Who can enroll?
Due to the significance and importance of the topics within this course, we have limited the class size for our nine month middle school OWL course to 22 students, with priority given to 1) members of All Souls, and 2) 8th & 9th graders. You may register for this year’s middle school OWL or high school OWL retreats by contacting Shannon Boston, Director of Children's and Youth Programs.
